We returned to Turkey in April 2024
We also visited Georgia and Armenia after the Turkey trip
The clouds parted and the sun was setting on Mount Rainier as we went
to get some groceries at the IGA in Packwood, Wash. The camera does no
justice to Rainier - you just have to look.
We took the Silver Falls Loop Trail out of Ohanaprecosh Camp. It was
just what the doctor ordered after the grueling hike yesterday.
We visited the Chihuly Garden And Glass Museum at Seattle Center
yesterday. It was outstanding. We loved our trip to Pike Street Market
too.

We took a great trip to snorkel off Molokai on our recent trip to
Maui.
We visited Sequoia National Park in the snow
We sailed on the Aranui V to the Tuamotus, Gambiers, Australs, and
Pitcairn Islands
We spent a fun couple of weeks in Colombia
We spent August up in Seaside, and visited Oysterville.
We went back to Africa in March of 2018, this time to Kruger National
Park in South Africa, plus Lesotho, and Swaziland.
We went to Yosemite with Dick & Midori in February of 2018
We spent a very happy week in Maui, celebrating my birthday.
We traveled everywhere in India in October of 2017
In 2017, we heartily enjoyed barging, bicycling, eating and drinking
in France
In March and April of 2017, we toured Death Valley, and the Utah
National Parks
In September of 2016, we traveled to Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and
South Africa.
We traveled to Louisiana to visit my grandmother’s old place, and put
flowers on my mothers grave. We also spent some fun time in Lafayette,
and in New Orleans. We were happy to have Tammy and Andrew share an
outstanding hotel room, which used to be a separate house.
We spent a few really good days hiking around Lake Tahoe. It’s been
years!
We visited Shasta, California (Gold Rush era county seat of Shasta
Co.), Packer’s Bay on Lake Shasta, and Castle Crags State Park.April is
a good time to go.
We visited Kristin and her kids on the Big Island, right after
Christmas. The kids were great sports about the 8 mile hike we put them
through.
We spent the last few days of July in Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
We really enjoyed museums and restaurants of Vancouver, hiking the
Pacific Rim National Park Preserve trails near Uclulet, and Afternoon
Tea at the Empress Hotel.
We spent almost three weeks in Poland, visiting Warsaw, Krakow, and
many places in between. I’ll never drink Russian vodka again.
For six days, we stayed in Kihei, and then for the final three
nights, we stayed in Lahaina. We got in some whale watching, fine
dining, good hikes, and lots of snorkeling.
We spent ten days in Iceland, in the depths of winter, chasing the
northern lights, hiking, snow shoeing, sampling the local fare. Steve
snorkeled the Silfra Fissure in Thingvellir National Park - truly
unforgettable. And cold…
